The Influence of External Forcesâ â â â â à à à à à There were numerous outside powers that impacted Macbeth on making his major choice. The choice was whether or no to execute King Duncan. These powers were the specters, the old witches, and Lady Macbeth. The spirits impacted Macbeth by making him think he was invulnerable. The witches impacted Macbeth by revealing to him that he would become ruler. Woman Macbeth likewise impacted him by undermining him. In spite of the fact that these components affected Macbeth, it was as yet his decision to follow up on this choice. In any case, regardless of how enthusiastically Macbeth attempted, he was unable to maintain a strategic distance from the impact of what others needed to state. à â â â â à à à à à The first outside power that impacted Macbeth was the nebulous visions. The nebulous visions affected Macbeth by making him think he was invulnerable. The first spirit stated, ââ¬Å"Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Be careful Macduff! Be careful Thane of Fife, excuse me; enough.â⬠(act 4, scene 1, lines 71-73) This implied Macbeth, needed to keep an eye out for Macduff, the Thane of Fife . The subsequent ghost stated, ââ¬Å"Be ridiculous, intense, and undaunted, Laugh to disdain the intensity of man, for none conceived of lady will hurt Macbeth.â⬠( act 4, scene 1, lines 78-81) This implied no man that was brought into the world out of the female birth waterway could hurt Macbeth. This announcement negates the one articulation made by the principal nebulous vision. Macbeth believed that since Macduff was human that he needed to have been brought into the world through the birth waterway. Macbeth didn't have a clue about that Macduff was conceived by c-area, he was less than ideal torn. The third ghost stated, ââ¬Å"Be lion-mettled, glad and take no consideration of who abrades, who worries, or where plots are: Macbeth will never vanquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill will come against him.â⬠(Act 4, Scene 1, Lines 89-94) This implies Macbeth ought to be daring and glad. It likewise implies that Macbeth won't be executed until the timberland walks up to his mansion. Macbeth thinks however that that was crazy. He never envisioned the woodland strolling. The woodland walked however. It strolled when Macduff and his partners disguised themselves with it, and assaulted Macbethââ¬â¢s stronghold. The nebulous visions caused him to feel like he could do anything. At that point he chosen to take out Duncan. à à à à à The witches likewise affected Macbeth in murdering King Duncan. Unemployment On The Us Economy Essay - 963 Words
Name: Instructor: Subject: Date: Unemployment in US economy The unemployment turnover view has a strong base on the contemporary thinking about unemployment in the entire United States. Joblessness or unemployment takes place when an individual searches for another new job and devotes most of time searching for another job. Moreover, unemployment comes into being if an individual goes in search of a new employment after being out of labor force for a long time. The individuals in search of employment get employed in monthly duration in a range of 10% to 40%. The unemployment varies directly with separation rate and varies indirectly with the rate of searching for a job. For a long time, labor market students have believed that the time of acute rise in unemployment or recession were due to increased rates of separation from jobs and decreased rates of finding jobs. From this perspective, the period of recession starts by the trend of layoffs. The trends of layoffs are mainly done in industries of durable goods. As labor market gets crowded with those seeking for employment, the rate of finding jobs decreases and the after unemployment duration rises. In contrary, recent research and data have disapproved this argument. The new perspective views separations as to have no contribution to the increased problems of unemployment during the period of recession. The reason behind increased unemployment during the recession is difficulties in finding jobs, not the dumping of thoseShow MoreRelatedThe Factors Affecting Unemployment : A Study Of Us Economy Essay1679 Words à |à 7 PagesEffecting Unemployment: A Study of US Economy in 1985-2014 Introduction In the past few years, the US unemployment rate dynamically fluctuated: more than five millions jobs were cut in November 2008 due to economic crisis, but recently, the unemployment rate dropped by 0.3 point after eight years. Pablo Picassos Bequest Of Gertrude Essay Example For Students
Pablo Picassos Bequest Of Gertrude Essay Pablo Picasso was a very famous artist in his time. I have always found his work very interesting and unique. He has a style all his own and, I believe that this was what made him so famous and at the same time controversial. The painting I have chosen is called Gertrude. Pablo Picasso was born in Spain to Jose Ruiz and Maria Picasso. He later adopted his mothers more distinguished maiden name Picasso. Picasso was a child prodigy who was recognized as such by his art-teacher father who ably led him along. Picasso was taught for a few years and after he attended the Academy of fine art in Curna Spain where his father taught. Picassos early drawings such as, Study of A Torso, After A Plaster Cast 1894-1895 Musee Picasso, Paris, France demonstrates the high level of technical proficiency he had accomplished by the age of 14 years old. Encarta 2000 Picassos artwork is classified as modern art witch started in the early 1880s to the mid 1970s. In 1885 his family moved to Barcelona, Spain after his father obtained a teaching post at that citys academy of fine Arts. Picasso was admitted to advanced classes in the academy after he completed in a single day the entrance examination that applicants were traditionally given a month to complete. In 1897 Picasso left Barcelona to further his study at the San Fernando academy in Madrid witch was located in the Spanish capital. His academic studies did not last long in Madrid. He was unhappy with the training he was receiving and he left and returned back to his home in Barcelona Spain. Picasso visited Paris some time around the early 1900s. After that visit he decided that he would move back and fourth between Spain and Paris. He did this until 1904 when he finally settled down in the French capital. At this time Picasso started to explore and experiment with different art styles that were modern. This portion of his life is called the blue period. This was because of the blue tones Picassos paintings had. During the year of 1905 to 1906 a radical change took place in Picassos style of painting once again. His choice of colors and mood were evident in this period of his life. He used subtle pinks and grays that were often highlighted by brighter tones. This was tone as his rose period. Rodenbeck, Comptons, Joseph Along with her brother Leo, Gertrude Stein was among the first Americans to respond with enthusiasm to the artistic revolution in Europe in the early years of the twentieth century. The weekly salons she held in her Paris apartment became a magnet for European and American artists and writers alike, and her support of Matisse, Braque, Girls, and Picasso was evident in her many acquisitions of their work. For Picasso, this early patronage and friendship was of major importance. Picassos portrait of the expatriate writer was begun in 1905, at the end of his Harlequin period and before he took up Cubism. Stein is shown seated in a large armchair, wearing her favorite brown velvet coat and skirt. Her impressive demeanor and massive body are aptly suggested by the monumental depiction. In her book The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas 1932, Stein described the making of this picture: Picasso had never had anybody pose for him since he was sixteen years old. He was then twenty-four and Gertrude had never thought of having her portrait painted, and they do not know either of them how it came about. In any case, it did, and she posed for this portrait ninety times. There was a large broken armchair where Gertrude Stein posed. There was also a couch where everybody sat and slept. There was a little kitchen chair where Picasso sat to paint. There was a large easel and there were many canvases. She took her pose, Picasso sat very tight in his chair and very close to his canvas and on a very small palette, which was of a brown gray color, mixed some more brown gray and the painting began, and he created the rich earth tones that we see in the painting. Without warning one day Picasso painted out the whole head. I cant see you anymore when I look, he said irritably, and so the picture was left like that. Picasso was arguably the most influential artist of the twentieth century EssayHer nose is rather elongated which adds more to the way her eyes look. The dark lines around the eyes, mouth and nose shows off the light and dark areas and enhances her facial features as well. There is a small line on the upper right hand side of the right nostril that almost looks as if it were a scar but in all actuality it is just part of the line that he uses to enhance the nose area. Gertrude has no expression on her face. She looks plain and serious. Picasso shaded the right side of her neck witch shows the contrast between light and dark. Witch indicates that she is facing the light or at least that is the way he drew it. The light seams to be in the center so it shines in front of her and not on the side. Because most of the light is on the upper part of her body her hands do not look as light as her face. Her left hand is on her lap, her right hand is also on the armrest but her entire arm is on it. Gertrude is wearing a dark brown jacket witch makes her complexion look even lighter. The only piece of clothing that is light on Gertrude is her scarf. Even Gertrude shirt is brown it resembles the color of the wall except her shirt is more of a golden brown instead of a walls that are more like a background dull brown. The background is dull brown and it is rough not smooth. The thin lines make it appear rough and almost like bricks or another type of material that is not as smooth. Above Gertrude head the background is lighter. That area is light a grayish and, you can see part of her shadow. Furthermore I believe that the painting is very unique especially since it was of a true person except the head witch I find kind of strange. Why did he not complete Gertrudes head when he had the chance? Why did he not complete her right then and there, even more fascinating is how is it that Gertrude ended up resembling the painting years later. I dare to suggest that the relationship between Picasso and Gertrude could have been a mother son relationship or just close friends. What originally drew me to this painting was that I had thought that it was a family remember like his grandmother or maybe even his mother. It had that personal touch and it reminded me of my grandmother. I thought it was different from some of the paintings that I have seen. This painting is fairly simple but it has a lot of meaning behind it that we will never know. I think another thing that attracted me to this painting was it simplicity. There was nothing to distract you from the main object witch was Gertrude. The reason I say this is because sometimes artists have a lot of things on in their paintings and more then one object and sometimes it can be rather distracting. Picasso has done so many paintings some of them include the Tragedy 1903, Girl Reading at the Table 1834, Crucifixion 1934, Dorra Maar 1937 and so many others. Picasso had a very unique sense of style. His willingness and open exploration to try new and different things made him a great artist in his time. He had many talents, he not only painted but, he was a sculptor, he did drawings, he worked with ceramics and he was also a poet which no one really new about. This is only a small glimpse at this artist diverse life and career as an artist. Picasso has contributed a lot to modern art. He has done so much and we have the privilege of being able to see his work displayed in museums.

We will write a custom essay on The play which Shakespeare wrote was a romantic tragedy called Romeo and Juliet specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now In Elizabethan times arranged marriages was a common thing. Women of the age thirteenth or fourteen were married of to a much older man. Juliet was thirteen when lord Capulet thought of marrying her to Paris, a much older man. The reason of this is because they would want a babe boy. To continue the heir of the family. Juliet agreed to marry Paris until she meet Romeo and fell in love with him. She then disobeyed her father and refused to marry Paris. As she was in love with Romeo. Disobeying her father she knows she has to suffer the consequence. Friar marries Romeo and Juliet together without the parents permission trying to reunite the families. But doesnt work. Meaning now she cant get married to Paris as she already married to Romeo. In Elizabethan times men were head of the house what ever they said was expected to be obeyed. Women were controlled by the males. Women at the ages of thirteen and fourteen were married of to a much old man. Men were less responsible they would do anything they pleased. The children of them times would be bought up by a Nurse. Capulet is head of the family. Like all Elizabethan fathers he is expected to be obeyed. Capulet is a kind considerate father. Capulet discusses his daughters marriage with Paris. She is the hopeful lady of my earth. The things he says about Juliet shows she is very close to his heart and his words suggest she is very important to him as she is the only surviving child of Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet is well liked in the community. He invites many local people to attend the Capulet party. All attended and even some extras. Through fair Verona, find those person but whose names are written there, and to them say my house and welcome on their pleasure stay. Capulet is insisted on being obeyed as he is head of the household and shows that he demands total respect and expects to be obeyed from all members and servants of the family. Am I the master here, or you? An example of Capulets temper is when Juliet refuses to do as she is told and Capulet gets furious. I tell thee what, get thee church o Thursday or never after look me in the face. The reason Capulet gets angry is because he is being disobeyed and he demands respect. Capulet is very cruel and heartless when Juliet disobeys him. He hurls abuse at Juliet, calling her names which would have been incredibly insulting in the Elizabethan times because she refused to do as she was told and didnt want to get married to Paris. Out, you green-sickness carrion! Out, you baggage! Lady Capulet is seen as a typical well -to-do lady of the Elizabethan period. She didnt have much to do with the bringing of her daughter Juliet. Lady Capulet is a very much loyal, obedient wife and mother. .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .postImageUrl , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:hover , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:visited , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:active { border:0!important; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:active , .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199 .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uc76131fa9783281cd3c744b3b3003199:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: How effectively does Priestly communicate his message to the audience in Act 1 EssayWhen she discusses her daughters marriage to Paris she panics because she doesnt really know much about her own daughter as she didnt have much with bringing her up. So she calls the Nurse back into the room needing her help to persuade Juliet to accept Paris. Nurse, come back again. I have rememberd me, thous her our council. The Nurse talks about the important events in Juliets life. She could have run and waddled all about. It is also obvious that her husband has been a father figure to Juliet. The Nurse fails to support Juliet when is told to marry Paris and lets Juliet down badly. The reason the nurse tells Juliet to forget Romeo and marry Paris is because she backs Juliets parents. Romeos a dishclout to him. Fearing the Capulets would find out she was meddling with the families business and she would be throw out the house and nobody would then employ her knowing she isnt trustworthy and her life would have been ruined. The young members of the families play an important part in the play. They braw at every opportunity to maintain their family honour. They are sons of wealthy people the Capulets and Montagues. They dont have much to do in their time. Tybalt is the cousin of Juliet. The young Capulets and Montagues are always ready to fight each other and this causes problems and anger in Verona. Prince Escalus anger towards the behaviour of the Capulets and Montagues threatens the families with death if theres another incident as it has just gone too far. If ever you disturb the our streets again, Your lies shall pay the forfeit of the peace. Not only the young members of the family fight but even the servants see it as their duty to fight and insult each other. Do you bite your thumb at us, sir? This was regarded as a rude gesture, a serious insult, and they would fight over it. They would find anyway to start a fight. As they have nothing else to do. Tybalts desire to protect the family honour is cause of two deaths. He is the man agitator of the young men. Romeo went to the Capulets party uninvited but not causing any problems. Tybalt sees Romeos presents and sees it as an insult on the family turning up uninviting. Here Tybalt is being belittled and treated as a child by his uncle. It fits when such a villain is a guest; Ill not endure him. This causes Tybalt to desire revenge upon Romeo which he performs later on in the play which results in his own death. This event has transformed Tybalts hatred into more personal hatred towards Romeo rather than just hatred for the whole Montague family. Tybalts use of language makes his character appear determined and adamant. He is an argumentative young man which you can see in the way he speaks to his uncle about what he wishes to do. He looks out for trouble and loves fighting which is why he desires to fight Romeo. I think Shakespeare has explored the theme of family values. He has shown how the families get along. The males are head of the household and accepted total respect and obedience. What they said was expected to be done. If not they had to suffer the consequences. The 21st century audience can learn that families shouldnt fight they are many other ways to settle a problem. Your family is they closes thing that you will have throughout your life, and they people you can trust.

Compare Luhrmanns and Shakespeares versions of the last scene- the death of Romeo and Juliet Essay Example
Compare Luhrmanns and Shakespeares versions of the last scene Compare Luhrmanns and Shakespeares versions of the last scene- the death of Romeo and Juliet Paper Compare Luhrmanns and Shakespeares versions of the last scene- the death of Romeo and Juliet Paper Essay Topic: Romeo and Juliet The two versions are very different because of the huge time differences and how Shakespeare had to use his imagination to create atmosphere rather than relaying on modern media techniques such as lighting, sounds and special effects. The main characters in Shakespeares version of Romeo and Juliet in the last scene are Paris, Balthazar, Romeo, Juliet and Friar Lawrence. In Baz Luhrmanns version of Romeo and Juliet he misses out scenes, which were originally in Shakespeares version. Baz Luhrmann misses out vital scenes, for example when Paris and Romeo have a fight. This scene was the original from Shakespeares version of the play. The fight scene between Romeo and Paris was essential because it tells us what Romeo encountered before he got to Juliet and where she was laying. I do defy thy conjuration and apprehend thee for a felon here. Another important character is Friar Lawrence he went to the tomb and found Romeo dead, Friar Lawrence was also there when Juliet was waking up from her deep sleep. Romeo! O, pale! Who else? What, Paris too? And steeped in blood? Ah, what an unkind hour is guilty of this lamentable chance! In Shakespeares time there wasnt much in the way of technology, Shakespeares time was very different to today. Shakespeares time had low levels of technology I mean very basic things. William Shakespeare was very limited in what he could do for example now a days we can have almost anything recreated or made because we have the power of computers and they can do many things in which humans of today cant do. Computers can change the appearance of someones face and even make sounds and for more advanced things computers can also show movies, parts of film which are needed for a director. The play in which Shakespeare performed was another big issue because it was small compared to ones now. Shakespeare only had his Globe theatre this is where he performed his plays. Now days we perform films, plays in massive studios. Extra lighting can also be added but this is again limited in Shakespeares time. Even though Shakespeares time was poor but he was able to make night scenes this was with the aid of torches these were not battery powered they were wooden batons or posts, which were lit/burned, this was done to make the play have some tension and atmosphere. Now days we have man made lighting, we also have different coloured lights for example red lights for a murder scene. The effects in which Shakespeare used were basic and so did not match todays special effects and technology. Sound effects were another key point as today we have sometimes computers to generate the effects but people created mostly these effects. This was the same in Shakespeares time. The advantage with computers is that you can save the sound effects onto media such as CD and now some important scenes are even burned onto DVD. Shakespeare didnt have this! Baz Luhrmanns version of Romeo and Juliet was set in a studio and on the streets this is different to the original by William Shakespeare. Baz Luhrmanns version of Romeo and Juliet is very much modern day versions as in many of the scenes the men clinch weapons such as guns. It is also different because there are cars, radios and helicopters. These above things showed that his version of the play was modern. There are many modern day machines in which Baz Luhrmann used these were 21st century technology. I mean equipment such as cameras, computers, cars, helicopters, guns, radios, and lights. These things are of the time but yes they were modern pieces of technology. These modern pieces of equipment can have a variety of effects on the audience but mostly they are there to create tension and atmosphere. For example guns have more of an effect than swords this is because they make a lot more tension. They can do this because when the person pulls the trigger you always have to wait a couple of seconds before it fires by that time tension has already built up and the audience would feel more in there seats than if a sword was being used. Another example Luhrmann creates is a car chase with the police to the church. When the audience see something like that they feel that there is going to be some kind of action or dramatic ending thus creating an excellent tension maker. Baz Luhrmann is not limited in what he can do or create. Shakespeare in the other hand is very limited he cant do very much and cant create special effects, for example car chases. William Shakespeare wrote his plays for the people of his time. Shakespeare wrote his plays because that was about the only entertainment there was in his era, there wasnt televisions or radios there were only things like plays to go and see. Baz Luhrmann in the other hand is trying to sell his films to teenagers this is because of all the action and fighting in his films, his version of Romeo and Juliet had lots of fighting for example at the start when Tybolt and Benvolio fight with there swords, but actually there swords were guns. The action and fighting would be more masculine and would then appeal to the teenaged boys. But the romance side of the play would appeal to the teenaged girls. The target audiences, you cant really say as both versions of the play were set in different times. But the target audiences would be of the time as Baz Luhrmanns version is of people of today, which are teenagers. An important event that I think that happens in Shakespeares play Romeo and Juliet is when Paris confronts Romeo and tells him to stop other wise he will kill him. Paris tells him to go no further! The characters in this event were Romeo, Paris and the Page. I think this event is important and creates tension with a lot of sympathy because it leads onto a major fight, it shows tension in a sense that Paris is stopping the enraged Romeo. Paris says something like, Stop thy unhallowed toil, vile Montague! Can vengeance be pursued further than death? Condemned villain, I do apprehend thee obey and go with me, for thou must die. If I were in the audience and this particular event came up I would feel like there would be something to follow. I would probably expect a fight to follow. This event would really keep me in suspense. The two versions of the play are very different, Shakespeares version is more original this is because he made/created it. Baz Luhrmanns version of Romeo and Juliet is more action packed and appealing to teenagers. The two versions differ in many ways; Baz Luhrmanns version of the play is on video and DVD but Shakespeares play is set in a script. Baz Luhrmann uses modern sounds and special effects for instance gun shots, background music and helicopter (aircraft). All the above are very modern day effects. Baz Luhrmann would have found it easy to do many of the effects. This is because of the aid of modern technology. Computers play a huge role. Baz Luhrmann has skipped the event when Romeo and Paris fight. That event was important because it showed us what happened before Romeo got to Juliet near the tomb. Luhrmann misses out Paris and the Page in the fight, he basically misses out the fight scene. If you compare this to Shakespeares version than you really do feel that there is something missing. Sympathy, There is sympathy in both versions of Romeo and Juliet. In Luhrmanns version there is a news report to say what the lessons are to be learned. We feel sympathy for Romeo when he dies because if only he waited 10 seconds longer than he would have saw Juliet opening her eyes. Also Juliet in white symbolizes innocence and purity, a social context. Another thing that makes sympathy is when Romeo looks at Juliet and he cant agree to the sight. You feel that there is a lot of sympathy in Baz Luhrmanns version of Romeo and Juliet because you can see the actual play on screen, but on Shakespeares you only get a script and you cant show emotion on paper. We also feel sympathy when Paris requests to lie by Juliets body, O I am slain! If thou be merciful, open the tomb, lay me with Juliet. Another major sympathy point is that Romeo and Juliet are dying due to forced marriages this is a social context. Finally I think that both versions of the play create tension and sympathy excellently but this is in there own creative way. As we already know Baz Luhrmanns version of the play is more targeted to teenagers, the play is still creating tension as well as sympathy this is because this version of the play holds the structure of Shakespeares original version. On the other hand Shakespeare has created a version that does create tension and sympathy but in an entirely different way too Baz Luhrmanns, Shakespeare is the original creator of the play Romeo and Juliet so therefore the play has what he required. To end I would say that Baz Luhrmanns version has the benefit of modern day technology but Shakespeare doesnt. They both create tension and sympathy but in there very own unique ways.

Teaching Project Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Teaching Project - Assignment Example In terms of the appropriate level since the objective of in teaching endotracheal tube nursing care is for the students to provide safe patient care in using endotracheal tubes, it would seem more appropriate that teaching would not only focus on theories but also on hands-on learning. Since the group is composed of students who will experience this material for the first time, a concise and practical way of presenting the material would prove to be easier to absorb. Practical in the sense that the material would be presented in terms of its importance in real-life practice of the nursing profession as far as this area of patient care is concerned. After having learned the theories relating to endotracheal tube nursing care, students should apply the information they have learned in class through situational exercises in the classroom, which would somehow assess how much they've learned and their ability to demonstrate this knowledge in real life situations. Based on the stated objective which is "Students will be able to perform endotracheal tube nursing care," such an objective if assessed using Bloom's taxonomy, the level of objectives that was set for teaching the students is more on performance. Although the content of the teaching plan includes "knowing" the purpose of the procedure, equipments needed, preparation, post procedure, outcome, and documentation, the bottom line is on whether or not the student would be able to perform the said procedure after all this intellectual input. Therefore, the objectives are in the level of psychomotor, as students would be evaluated if whether or not they would be able to perform endotracheal tube nursing care and consequently provide safe patient care. Teaching Method The teaching method that would best meet the group's need would be through equipment demonstration, lecture and the use of relevant CD-ROMS. These methods are seen to be essential in learning and understanding as well as applying knowledge into real life practice. Demonstrating the equipment used will not only give the students of what kind of equipments are involved, but they will also know what it is called, its function and how they would use it. The lecture provides theories and other important information on the matter as well as an opportunity for the students to equip themselves with the knowledge needed to be able to perform a particular task. The use of CD-ROMS would also help in reinforcing the information given during the lecture. It can also serve as a window of opportunity to illustrate and show students the picture behind the words they heard during the lecture. The method of teaching used can be categorized as direct teaching, because it is the teacher who mostly does all the work as will be manifested in equipment demonstration, lecture and CD-ROM. As such, direct teaching needs to be prepared and organized in advance and this includes teacher's having information about their students' prerequisites for the lesson. The advantages of this method of teaching are: there is a specific target for learning, students are given reasons on why the content is important and thus helps to clarify the lesson's objectives. It makes measuring of student's input relatively easy, it is a widely accepted and used

Nutrition in a pill - Research Paper Example What they do not seem to care or think of is the undeniable fact that these efficient meals, although economical, have an underlying dangerous effect to their health. Years of depending on these have evidently been affecting many and have consequently caused growing concern about health. Consequently, because of demand and need, many have come up with, yet again, new ideas. Among the most sellable is the use of vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements, but their widespread use has had questions arise. Do they really work? Are their effect really worth the money? When people make the decision to take in supplements as the replacement for the nutritious food they are expected to eat, they begin to lose sight of what supplements and vitamins can never replace: a healthy lifestyle that only proper diet and exercise can give. Yes, although supplements do indeed, at a certain extent, become the solution to specific health problems such as cholesterol or high blood pressure, they simply do not give the same effect as nutritious diet and regular exercise do. Therefore, supplements, vitamins and minerals are not for everyone, are not for most. These only greatly benefit the elderly and those who suffer from specific health conditions and illnesses, not for the majority who eat moderately and exercise regularly. On the September issue of Time Magazine, in its special health and nutrition issue, is an article of five pages that is entitled: ââ¬Å"Nutrition in a Pill?â⬠It features the writerââ¬â¢s journey of taking roughly three thousand dietary supplements for about five months to test if vitamins, minerals and supplements indeed are worth the thousand dollars they cost, and the results it has brought about. Summarizing the results of John Cloudââ¬â¢s five-month journey is in an article in Science-Based Magazine. ââ¬Å"Only two measurements changed significantly: his vitamin D levelâ⬠¦ and his HDL levelâ⬠¦ He felt better on the supplements, but he attributed that to placebo

To Love Another Person is to See the Face of God Essay Example for Free
To Love Another Person is to See the Face of God Essay To love another person doesnââ¬â¢t really mean to see the face of God. You have to feel all the love and blessings of God. Living the life of God, with his words and doing things that we know is right is living the path of life loving any other person regardless of what she or he is living with the love of God with no conditions, no barriers that can stop him/her, only with just plain love of God . Accepting other person, understanding them is the way of showing love to them. Helping them in times of trouble, giving them advice for goodness in life and supporting them on the things that they want to do are few thing we can do to show them our concern and love for them. We should not wait for them to return favor for what we did for them, because like God who love and help us, he didnââ¬â¢t ask anything in return for what he did for each one of us and never get tired of doing those things, so should just be thankful for what we did. That is Godââ¬â¢s will for us. There are times we need to sacrifice for the sake of others. Those sacrifices are just tools for them to have happiness they deserve. But should not be lonely because we sacrifice it, God has always plans for our life. We donââ¬â¢t that he might have more plans for our life. Also we donââ¬â¢t know what will happen in our lives, but we should not just wait until something comes in our way. We should be the one to start our lives with God in our side for us to reach success Sharing happiness that you receive with all other people you want to share is showing them your love for them. Someday all of our sacrifice and all that we share with others will return to us but we donââ¬â¢t know when. Only God knows. We should not be disturbed by the ups and downs of life. It is part of life were our courage, strength and faith in God were tested for us to be more ready to face all the coming trials for us. It is part of the path we all have to take to learn more things about life, on how we can more understand the life God had do for us. Being able to surpass the trials we are facing is like reaching one of our many goals in life. And showing our love to other person is one of the greatest commandments of God. Love all the people with your whole heart, let them fell it not just hear it, let them receive it not just expect it and love is the beginning of goodness. Showing love to others is the best way to show them goodness. Love God first, and love others more than you love yourself.

racism Essay -- essays research papers fc
Racism à à à à à Racism, what does that word mean. To many people it means that ones ethnic stock is superior to others, but this is the dictionary definition. To me racism is; hate crimes, people bias towards certain ethnic groups, ignorance, intolerance. à à à à à Hate crimes happen a lot because of racism, for example; in Georgia two white males beat a black man and drag him behind their truck in till his head was ripped off.(www.princeton.edu/bnsimon/race.html) All of this because of his skin color. Hitler killed all those Jews because he thought he was better than them, more superior to them. à à à à à Certain ethnic groups are sometimes bias to other ethnic groups. Like the whites think that the blacks are not as good because they have dark skin. A good example of the whites not liking the blacks is the KKK, they are a organized group of whites that donââ¬â¢t like the blacks.(Ethics and Values volume 7) Back in the day the whites would have blacks as there slaves, make them work with out receiveing any money for it. à à à à à Ignorance, what is ignorance. The dictionary says that it is the lack of knowledge or understanding. that is part of racism. Some ethnic groups donââ¬â¢t understand others so they automatically think they are better. The best way to fight racism is for a more critical scence for all people because the privilage of ââ¬Å"whitenessâ⬠has made many whites either unable to talk about race or very uncomfortable doing so. we never hear people reflect on what it feels like and means to be white except for that irritating ââ¬Å"angry white male talk.â⬠Mostly for ethnic groups like Jews, Irish, Italions, who have been descriminated against on a basis of ethnicity.(Cornel West) Every one has had their shot at defining ââ¬Å"raceâ⬠Theologins had their shot for hundreds of years. Then scientists took over in the nineteeth century. social scienetists have dominated the twentiah century definitions of race. (cornel West) à à à à à Some people think that color blindness is the answer to racial divides but how many white people realize that this means more than other races giving up their indentifications and thinking of themselves as individuals. In south africa they are setting up to find ways to stop racism in advertising.( Gomes - Sheftel Nasoan, Racism, )  ... ...worth escaped my soul. You were vultures wanting to leave me with only a shell. You almost succeded Yet I have removed your curse. This poem is about her being a minority and getting called names by people. She says that when she was growing up she was different. Racism in any form is a realistic and homble way of thinking. à à à à à Iââ¬â¢ve found out that Racism isnââ¬â¢t just a word, it is a feeling, thought, action. Racism still exists today and will probably exists forever. There will all ways be that one person who thinks he is better than another person. And Because of this I donââ¬â¢t think that there is a way to ever stop racism. There are only ways to help keep it down. If you see some one experiencing hate because of there race, you could help them out by telling the person doing it to stop. 1. Read the first three paragraphs of ââ¬Å"white Women and Slavery in the Caribbean, (page 181, Blooming with the Pouis) and identify two(2) examples of appeal to ethos. The second example of appeal to ethos is found in paragraph three (3) sentence three(3): ââ¬Å"Studies of the rise and fall of the planter class in Caribbean societies, for instance, have not paid systematic attention to the planterââ¬â¢s wife as a socio-economic agentâ⬠. 2. What type of claim (policy, cause, fact, definition, value) does the writer begin with (Problem parents neglectâ⬠¦)? What I consider to be the use of emotional proof (pathos) is: ââ¬Å"There are also reports of parents sending their daughters to work in night clubs as scantily dressed dancers in order to earn money for their families, their sons to ââ¬Ëhustleââ¬â¢ in the streets, and of fathers who feel that it is their ââ¬Ërightââ¬â¢ to demand sexual intercourse from their daughters because they had undertaken the responsibility of their upbringingâ⬠. Applying Organizational Behavior Theory Essay - 1280 Words
Applying Organizational Behavior Theory Ahmed Salman Argosy University September, 23, 2015 Applying Organizational Behavior Theory Introduction Organizational behavior entails the study of individual and also group performance and their interactions and ability to work in groups. It aims at identifying major problems that affects performance within the teams to work together, in a bid to develop a more efficient business operation (Hiriyappa, 2009). It relies heavily on organizational cultures since they reflect how organizations behave One major problem in the organization is the issue of appreciating diversity within the workplace. Most employees and some management personnel see this as a threat and therefore there cannot be efficient teamwork cohesion in doing projects. This may be due to the fact that they have reinforcing homogeneity perspectives or color-blind perspectives (Prasad, 1997). Leaders should try to make changes to this major issue since it affects operations where diversity is required to achieve strategic goals. The organization should plan to change the mentality of those rejecting diversity, to embrace Fairness perspective, access perspective, integration and learning perspectives which will ensure a unison move to prosperity of the organization (Clements Jones, 2008).
